How we bring sustainability to life

Illustration - Sustainability at BSH considers the aspects environment, social and governance

At BSH, we pursue a holistic approach to sustainability, considering three key aspects: Environment, Social and Governance. This is the foundation of our successful business.

To build that foundation, we evaluate and balance these areas:

    • We support climate protection, save precious resources and offer consumers sustainable solutions.
    • We pursue a socially sustainable future that is just, equitable, inclusive, and enables a high-quality life at home.
    • We aim to strengthen ethical business conduct along the value chain together with our partners.

Find out more about BSH's sustainability efforts in the BSH sustainability brochure.

    CDP

The CDP is a not-for-profit charity, which established a disclosure system for investors, cities, states and regions in order to measure their environmental impact. Originally focusing solely on carbon disclosure and climate impact, CDP broadened the disclosure scope and currently includes deforestation and water security.

Over 23,000 companies are currently reporting via CDP. Among them is our parent company Robert Bosch, which was rated “A-” for its activities to protect the climate and water, making it one of the leading companies in terms of transparency and performance in these categories.

    SBTi

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is an NGO based on a partnership between the CDP, UN Global Compact, World Resource Institute and the WWF. It enables corporate climate action by developing scientific standards based on which companies and financial institutions can set their specific greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets regarding time and scope. These science-based targets are also validated by the SBTi and ensure companies’ alignment with the Paris Agreement to limit global warming.

Over 4,200 companies worldwide have set SBTi approved targets. Among them is our parent company Robert Bosch. SBTi has endorsed the company’s near-term climate targets for the 1.5 degree pathway for the entire value chain – from purchasing to the product use phase.

    Robert Bosch

With the annual sustainability report, our parent company Robert Bosch makes its actions transparent – comprehensively and comparably, with reference to the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative.
