BSH drives Matter connectivity standard forward for home appliances at CES 2025

Las Vegas – Jan. 13 2025 (BSH) – BSH Home Appliances Group is driving the Matter smart home connectivity standard forward: In January, at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the company showcased its market shaping position, celebrating its achievement as the first company to present a Matter-enabled home appliance in the market. Darcy Clarkson, CEO of the Region North America, elaborated on site how BSH plans to drive the Matter standard forward in the industry. Highlight of the show was the introduction of the Bosch 100 Series French Door Bottom Mount refrigerator, which will bring Matter connectivity to consumers this year. [...]

The presence of the Bosch Group under the theme "One Residential" highlighted a future where diverse smart home devices communicate seamlessly and can be managed from a central hub. BSH took the spotlight in several areas across the world-famous conference.

Moving the Matter Standard Forward
As headliner of the panel "Matter: Industry Collaboration for a Sustainable Smart Home" alongside speakers from Google and Amazon, Clarkson elaborated on the future of industry-wide collaboration and adoption of the Matter standard. He emphasized that consumers expect their premium home appliances to offer control flexibility via any smart home platform: “Matter makes this possible. Working alongside industry peers, including Amazon, we are excited to push the boundaries of what smart home appliances can achieve."

Tomorrow’s Kitchen – From AI to Widely Popular Espresso
Star of the Bosch booth was the new Bosch 100 series French Door Bottom Mount refrigerator that impressively demonstrated its Matter capabilities. With the Bosch 500 Series smart dishwasher, 800 Series fully automatic smart espresso machine, and more, BSH also further showcased how smart features improve quality of life at home. The Series 8 oven featuring artificial intelligence suggests ideal settings for up to 80 dishes, while the Bosch 800 Series fully automatic espresso machine, launched in May 2024, was a crowd-pleaser with its barista-level quality and customization, demonstrated live by a team of skilled baristas.

BSH's participation at CES 2025 not only reinforced its market shaping position in the smart home appliance market but also set the stage for future advancements in the industry.
